Conditional formatting in table visualizations within custom reporting

As a marketer-at-heart, this feature has me seriously excited!

This update is designed to bring your data to life. With conditional formatting in table visualizations—available in both the custom report builder and single object builder—users can now easily highlight key patterns and trends.

Why focus here? This update eliminates the need to manually sift through endless rows of data. It ensures that teams can not only produce visually clean reports but also generate impactful insights that drive action. By reducing the time spent on manual searches, this feature streamlines workflows and enhances data-driven decision-making.

This public beta feature is available to pro and enterprise accounts in: Customer Platform, Content Hub, Marketing Hub, Operations Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and Marketing+.

What Is It?

You can now apply conditional formatting to tables within the customer report builder or single object builder. This formatting allows users to highlight cells based on specific conditions, making it easier to see trends, or key information in the data.

 

Why Does It Matter?

Conditional formatting allows users to be more creative and informative with their reports. By highlighting key information, users or stakeholders can:

  • Quickly identify important data points (high, low or midpoint values)
  • Support and visualize a variety of data types (numbers, percentages, durations, currencies)
  • Simplify data analysis, reducing the need for manual search

  1. Pivot tables in Journey Analytics
    Pivot tables makes it easier to organize large amounts of data, which makes it a perfect table format for Journey Analytics. It will be easier to tell exactly which step someone took from one stage to the next, regardless of whether or not you are using optional stages or multiple steps in a stage. 
  2. Log Microsoft Teams phone calls in HubSpot
    If you use Microsoft Teams Phone as your telephony solution, you can now automatically log phone calls to the relevant HubSpot records.
  3. WhatsApp Pricing Change - Free Service Messaging
    Starting November 1st, Service conversations will no longer count towards your WhatsApp usage limit.
      • Service conversations are any conversations started by your recipients. Marketing, Utility, and Authentication conversations will still count towards your limit.
      • Additionally, HubSpot will continue to provide the first 1,000 Marketing, Utility, or Authentication WhatsApp conversations per month for free.

  1. Analyze Tabs for Website Pages and Landing Pages
    The website and landing pages 'Analyze' tabs give marketers a holistic overview of page effectiveness through a number of different reports for website pages and landing pages.
  2. Content Scaffolding in Custom Templates
    Content scaffolding gives you control over how generative AI tools add content to your templates. It lets you custom-define the template schema, specifying how different sections of the template should be used and what types of content they should contain.
  3. Chat Widget Updates – UI Refresh, Embedded KB Articles, Interactive Chat Launcher
    A set of major improvements to the chat widget, including a UI refresh, embedded knowledge base articles, and an interactive chat launcher.
  4. Conditional SLA Rules
    In Help desk, Admins can now create a set of conditional SLAs that will apply to new tickets from Help desk-connected channels. These conditions can be based on ticket properties and/or properties of other objects associated to tickets, allowing Admins to customize how SLAs are applied for VIP, regional, and high urgency customers.
  5. Create charts with external data in UI Extensions
    This feature is a part of the public beta for UI extensions with CRM development tools.
  6. Default From address for CRM Email
    You can now specify which of your connected email addresses is the Default From Address when composing new emails from CRM records
  7. Marketing events data now available in custom report builder
    You can now incorporate data from the marketing events object into HubSpot's custom report builder. This means you can create detailed and customized reports, combining marketing event data with other HubSpot data for comprehensive insights.

Private Beta

  1. Use Meeting Rotations in scheduling pages for weighted and even distribution
    When creating a round robin scheduling page, add a Meeting Rotation instead of individual users in order to automatically update rotation members and utilize advanced rotation logic. Rotation options include even distribution and weighted distribution.

Sunset

  1. Marketing Email Bounce Management Tools
    This November, HubSpot will be sunsetting the following features from Marketing -> Email -> Email Tools:
      • Add hard bounced contacts to an existing list
      • Export Contacts who have unsubscribed or bounced

In Development

  1. Customize the About section via the left sidebar on iOS
    iOS users currently don't see the customized set of properties reflected from the left sidebar of a record in the About tab in the mobile app. With this work, HubSpot is going to resolve this limitation and allow users to customize the About tab via the left sidebar settings on web.
